Skincare Empties - The Products On Repeat
Empties! I figured it would be good to get back to my regularly scheduled programming featuring empties. These are my most used and repurchased items - the ones that nothing else compares to. Considering how many new products I’m constantly testing, you know something is good when I use up bottle after bottle!
If you could package up the feeling and scent of a spa, this would be it! This cleansing balm takes literally everything off and is so gentle. It leaves my skin feeling cleansed but never dry or stripped. Unlike some other balms, this one goes on smooth and doesn’t need to be warmed up or dissolved to start working. This the perfect step in your double cleanse routine as well. Highly recommend!
The ultimate toner for all skin types. My skin is dry but acne prone - a totally annoying combo because I have to be careful with acne products being too drying. This toner actually leaves my skin super comfortable (more so than some other “hydrating” toners out there). 2% salicylic is the main active ingredient which is best known for helping fight acne and also increases cell turnover while gently exfoliating skin. Back when I first started using this, the first thing I noticed was how much it helped with blackheads (ugh the worst). After just a couple weeks I could see a big change.
This has been my GO TO for an even complexion. First off, I love that it has SPF 50. I wear sunscreen daily and try to layer, so this makes it easy to add extra coverage. This provides a moderate, buildable coverage. For some who don’t like the look of foundation, this is a great alternative. I’ve tried so many different BBs and CCs and this is the one I always come back to!
SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Moisturizer
Okay, this is a recent obsession of mine. I just discovered this cream in early 2020 and have already gone through multiple jars. My only regret is I didn’t find this sooner! I love how this makes my skin feel supple and plump and it lasts through till the morning. Everything SkinCeuticals is pretty much amazing but this one definitely takes the cake for one of their best imo. It’s a complete anti aging cream addressing fine lines, wrinkles, look of pores and overall radiance of skin. This is also perfect to pair with retinol since it’s deeply moisturizing without feeling heavy.
